FatherTerry Gallagher, Canada, is a theologian and a Roman Catholic priest. He worked
for twenty-five years with youth leadership programs in Toronto, and
served as a missionary in the Phillipines, South Korea, China, Hong
Kong and Taiwan. He promotes inter-religious dialogue and
understanding, and helps organize meetings that bring people together
with leaders or teachers of different faiths. A marathon runner,
he loves to let the child within sing, and pray, and play in a
multitude of ways.
Jackie Rahm, USA, was
a Peace Corps volunteer teacher in Nepal. She founded Shaping New Worlds as a way to bridge traditional with modern cultures. She
now teaches college courses in communication and conflict
transformation and holds an M.A. in Community Psychology. As part
of Vermont Peace Academy, she works with the Youth and
Education Circle, empowering youth and
bringing peace education into local schools.
Nina Lynn Meyerhof, USA, is the founder/president of Children
of the Earth. She holds a Doctorate
in Educational Policy, Research, and Administration. She is a
co-author of Conscious Education: The Bridge
to Freedom and is recognized as an
innovative educator and activist promoting human spirituality
worldwide. Her life’s work focuses on affirming and
developing the capacity of youth to assume the responsibility for a
better future for all people on earth.
Teri Mahaney, USA,
bridges the traditional and spiritual worlds in her life and in her
work. She has excelled in a variety of traditional careers,
including outdoor adventure guide, college business professor,
community college dean, and statewide director of civil rights and
child support divisions. Her Change

Dianne Longboat (Kahentakwas), Canada, first looked for the answers to her people’s
problems in education. She earned an M.Ed. in Curriculum Design
and Program Evaluation and began working for provincial and national
indigenous organizations and teaching at Trent University and the
University of Toronto. But for the past twelve years she has
focused on spirituality, re-discovering the deep truths and value of
traditional teachings and practices.
Isira Sananda is a
Global Peace Ambassador and sees her role as one to inspire humanity to
reclaim our own great potential for wisdom, love, peace and compassion.
She recently published Words of One – a book of insights and contemplations for
the spiritual path - and is currently completing her autobiography.
Isira also writes, plays and sings her own piano compositions and
songs of the heart, which are much loved by those who attend her
events.
Harriett Nettles, USA, holds
a PhD in Educational Psychology. She is a facilitator for the
International Youth Leadership conferences at the Apeadu Peace Center
in Ghana, West Africa. Currently, she is developing a practice in
brainwave biofeedback for the optimization of cognitive function.
She is passionate about riding horses, interfaith singing and
chanting, compassionate listening and finding the universal divine in
her fellow humans.
Maria Mitovska, Bulgaria, was among the handful of devoted followers of the spiritual
path of Beinsa Douno who kept the teachings alive during the communist
rule in Bulgaria. For more than 30 years, she taught biochemistry
at the Medical University in Sofia. She did many scientific
researches and has a doctorate in bioenergetics. She is committed
to awakening the global consciousness of all people, especially
children and youth.
